    Drafted 75th overall by the Atlanta Flames in the 1979 NHL Entry Draft
    Forward for the Calgary Flames (1980–90, 1994–95)
    Stanley Cup champion (1989)
    He never won an individual award.
    He served as a tri-captain for a portion of his tenure with the Flames.
    He retired six games into the 1989-90 season.
    Despite his accolades with the Flames, he isn't recognized as being one of the franchise greats.
    He came out of retirement for six games during the strike-shortened 1994-95 season.
    He was a member of the first Flames roster to play in Calgary following the relocation (1980-81).
    He was a durable player, as he missed only 24 games during his career.
    He was a member of both Flames teams to reach the Stanley Cup Finals in the 1980's.
    He was able to leave the Flames during the season toplay for Canada during the 1988 Winter Olympics.
    He unselfishly gave up his roster spot in the clinching game of the 1989 Stanley Cup Finals in order for fellow captain Lanny McDonald to be the first Flames player to hold the Stanley Cup.
