He became estranged from his father when he warned him that his wife, Terri, was fooling around.
He divorced Terri Runnels.
From 1997-1998, he called himself The Artist Formerly Known as Goldust.
Many people believe his character is gay.
He is known for outrageous gimmicks, from finding Jesus and praying during matches to getting electrocuted and developing 'neurological disorders' that hinder his speech.

His speech disorders have made him one of the most popular characters in the WWE.
Sound bites from his speech problems have become common place on The Howard Stern Show.
He was a good sport on the Stern show, remaining in character as he had promised.
