Why British Columbia might not be annoying:

It is a world leader in protected forest areas.
There is a government approved four year Economic Measures Fund for up to $40 million to boost the economy.
It will be host of the 2010 Paralympic and Winter Olympic Games.
While many places are in need of more nurses, B.C. has been successful in attracting more to the area.
It is the third-largest generator of hydro electricity in Canada.
Top languages spoken there are English, Chinese (including Cantonese and Mandarin), Punjabi, German, French, Tagalog, Spanish, Italian, Korean and Dutch.
After New York and L.A., it is third-largest in film/television production in North America.
The Ministry of Health has many child geared programs to prevent use of tobacco.
