    He was a drinking companion of Richard Burton and Peter O'Toole until he was diagnosed with hepatitis.
    He turned down the lead role in Hawaii Five-O.
    He was fired from the film 'Sunday, Bloody Sunday' (1971) and replaced by Peter Finch, reportedly due to his difficulties with a scene where he had to kiss Murray Head.
