    Portrayed Holly Grainger in 'The Virginian' (1967-70)
    She reportedly conducted an affair with Orson Welles when they co-starred in 'Macbeth.'
    The 'March of Time' newsreel hired her to redub the voices of female newsmakers like Eleanor Roosevelt and the Duchess of Windsor.
    She starred in a short-lived (13 episodes) Gunsmoke spin-off called 'Dirty Sally.'
    She was married to actor John McIntire for 56 years until his death.
    He knack for accents made her one of the most in-demand voices of the Golden Age of Radio.
    She said, 'Radio acting has nothing to do with looks. It's all to do with imagination and a deep creative germ that you are born with.'
