Why he might be annoying:

He had an enormous frightening scar on his face.
He was freakishly tall at 6'6.
He was a major alcoholic.
His fingertips were stained from his excessive smoking.
He had long, unkempt fingernails.
He was a major anti-Semite, allegedly he watched with pleasure as Jews were being gassed at Mauthausen.
He was one of the worst and most powerful of the Nazi murderers, being responsible for ordering POW killings and deportations.
At his trial, he denied being at Mauthausen even though photos of him there were presented the Nuremberg Trials.

Why he might not be annoying:

In the last days of the war, he declined to follow a directive to kill POWs.
He suffered a cerebral hemorrhage in October 1945.
He was sentenced to death and hanged for his crimes at Nuremberg.
