Football Player
    (September 26, 1966-May 27, 2006)
    Born in Passaic, New Jersey
Fullback for the New Orleans Saints (1988-92), Chicago Bears (1993), Atlanta Falcons (1994-96), St. Louis Rams (1997) and the Indianapolis Colts (1998)
Drafted 24th overall by the New Orleans Saints in the 1988 NFL Draft
    His nickname was 'Ironhead.'
There are many conflicting stories on how he received the nickname.
Most casual and non-football fans remember him for his endorsement commercials for Zest Body Wash.
He became a nomad after he left the Saints.
He made himself eligible for the NFL Draft after his junior year of college.
He earned All-America honors while attending the University of Pittsburgh (1987).
His large stature made him one of the NFL's most dominating fullbacks during the early 1990's.
He was forced to retire from football after it was revealed he had a brain tumor, which was pressing on his optic nerves.
All three of his sons carried on his legacy and became football players.
His commercials for Zest made the use of body washes and Luffas a staple in many household showers.
