Hockey Coach

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

He was sent down to the minors before returning to the NHL following a trade to Pittsburgh three years after making his NHL debut.
He spent the bulk of his playing career on bad teams.
He was considered a journeyman player as he played on eight teams in two leagues combined.
His appointment as the Canadiens interim head coach was met with controversy as a result of him being an Anglophone with no knowledge of French.
As a result of the controversy, the team had to clarify he was an interim coach as his replacement had to be bilingual in order to coach the team.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was a versatile forward during his playing career.
He served as a player-assistant coach in Rochester during his final season as an active player.
He served as the Senators team captain as the team made the transition from league doormat to perennial playoff contender during the late 1990's.
In response to the controversy in Montreal, he made it clear to the media he would make an effort to voluntarily learn French.
He was the first predominately Anglophone speaking coach of the Montreal Canadiens in 40 years when he was appointed the team's interim head coach.
