TV Series
    (January 23, 2008-August 8, 2009)
    Aired on FOX
    Hosted by Mark L. Walberg
Premise: Contestants hooked up to a polygraph must truthfully answer personal questions for money
    Top prize is $500,000
It is based on a Colombian game show that was canceled after a contestant admitted to hiring a hit man to kill her husband.
The questions are often too personal (ex. Since you've been married, have you ever had sexual relations with someone other than your husband?) or downright stupid (ex. In the last five years, have you wet your bed?).
One contestant admitted to cheating on her husband and then ended up losing all of her money.
Just how accurate is the lie detector?
After a contestant answers a question, a creepy robot voice announces 'That answer is... true/false.'
It is a guilty pleasure-type show.
It gets people to make themselves look like fools for our entertainment.
The show's first few episodes had the mega-popular American Idol as a lead-in.
They sometimes get celebrities, ex-lovers and estranged relatives to ask the contestant a question.
NBC tried to rip it off with the game show 'Amnesia,' but it failed.
It is one of the few prime time game shows that isn't hosted by a mediocre comedian.
