He went by a pretentious single name.
Though Austrian, he named himself after German skier Falko Weissflog.
He wrote 'Rock Me Amadeus' to capitalize on the successful 1984 Tom Hulce movie 'Amadeus.'
After 'Rock Me Amadeus' left the charts, his career was essentially over.
He had a child out of wedlock (1986).
Why he might not be annoying
He graduated from the Vienna Conservatoire as a child prodigy in classical music.
He penned the Top 5 hit song 'Der Kommissar' recorded by After the Fire (1983).
A follow-up song, 'Jeanny,' was banned by almost every radio station (except in Germany) due to its prostitution theme.
'Rock Me Amadeus' topped both the US and UK charts (1986).
He died in a car wreck at age 40 (1998).
