He initially turned down a contract offer from the Warriors upon being drafted by the team.
He earned his nickname 'The Destroyer' after he punched an opponent in the jaw with enough force to break it.
His Warriors teams regressed considerably in the standings in the years following their NBA championship victory.
He has a gap between his two front teeth.
Many modern Warrior fans aren't familiar with his accomplishments with the franchise.

He was originally planning to coach a junior high school team in his hometown of Newark at the time he was drafted.
He was the Warriors second leading scorer in the game where Wilt Chamberlain scored 100 points (March 2, 1962).
He was the second African-American head coach to guide a team to an NBA championship (1975).
He guided the Warriors to an upset victory over the heavily favored Washington Bullets to accomplish the feat.
He was associated with the Warriors franchise for close to 60 years uninterrupted in various capacities.
