Why he might be annoying:

    He struggled to stay healthy throughout his career.
    He requested a trade out of New Jersey in order to receive guaranteed playing time.
    He made a notorious gaffe in an overtime playoff game by turning the puck over to a Blackhawks player, who would score in overtime (1996).
    That play reportedly prompted an argument between Patrick Roy and Marc Crawford, which led to him being a healthy scratch for the remainder of the Avalanche's playoff run.
    His productivity nosedived considerably following his departure from Colorado, being traded twice in a six month span.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He had a strong defensive prowess.
    His solid defensive play made him a mainstay on the Nordiques blueline following his trade from New Jersey.
    He was a member of the Avalanche's first Stanley Cup championship team (1996).
    He pursued a career in geological engineering following his retirement from hockey.
    His son, Christian was drafted by the Ottawa Senators in 2015.
