Financier
    (March 6, 1937- )
    Born in Detroit, Michigan
Former stock trader (Ivan S. Boesky & Company)
Sentenced to three years in federal prison after being convicted on insider trading charges (December 1987)
He was the poster boy for white collar crime during the 1980s.
In addition to the prison time he received for insider trading, he was also fined $100 million.
He's 'credited' with pioneering junk bonds.
He said: 'Greed is healthy. You can be greedy and still feel good about yourself.'
He might've inspired the infamous 'Wall Street' character, Gordon Gekko.
He used money from the family he married into to start his own brokerage, then collected alimony from that wife following their divorce.
He somehow managed to earn a law degree even though he never earned an undergraduate degree.
He 'earned' the nickname 'Ivan the Terrible.'
He was a hard worker, reportedly only sleeping three hours a night (it takes a lot of work to gather $3 billion worth of insider trading tips).
He was released from prison after 22 months for good behavior.
As part of his plea deal, he 'ratted out' several other brokers who were guilty of white collar crimes, including Michael Milken.
