    He had 82 children!
    He offered U.S. president James Buchanan domesticated elephants for transportation.
    'The King and I' was banned in Thailand because of the historical inaccuracies.
    He was inspired by ‘Uncle Tom’s Cabin’ to abolish slavery in Siam.
    Even when slavery was common in Siam people noted that his slaves were treated very well.
    Yul Brynner won a Tony and an Oscar for portraying him on stage and screen.
