Its name is a poor English take on the word 'chicken fillet.'
It promotes James Dobson's Focus for Family.
The Chick-fil-A Cows replaced the company's original mascot, Doodles the Chicken.
They are one of the only major franchises that remain closed on Sundays.
Their 'Dwarf House' locations offer hamburger meals (but 'eat more chiken' anyway...)
Its Baptist leanings make it more popular in the South, although a significant push has been made to gain traction in the Northeast.
It was sued by a Muslim ex-employee who claimed he was fired for refusing to pray to Jesus during a training seminar; the case was settled out of court (Oct. 2002).
It suspended TV ads featuring the word 'beef' during a mad cow disease scare, to avoid being called insensitive (Dec. 2004).

Many of their billboards with the 'Eat More Chikin' cows are very clever.
It offers free meals to customers who come dressed as cows on National Cow Appreciation Day.

It donated more than 12,000 sandwiches to victims and relief workers impacted by the Colorado wildfires and the massive tornadoes that ripped through the Midwest and South in (2011-2012).
Its VP Of Public Relations/Head Spokesman, Don Perry, died unexpectedly from a heart attack at the height of the company's 'same-sex marriage' debate he was tasked with handling (Jul. 27, 2012).
Vante CFO, Adam Smith, recorded himself ordering tap water in a drive thru and angrily criticizing Chick-Fil-A's support of anti-gay marriage groups to employee, Rachel Elizabeth, at the window.
The rant backfired when he later uploaded the reel on his YouTube channel. It cost him his highly-paid CFO position and he never entirely recovered from the blow dealt to him (Aug. 1, 2012).
