The Resume

    (July 22, 1926-October 15, 2018)
    Born in Camden, New Jersey
Created the recipe of Green Bean Casserole (1955)
Worked for the Campbell's Soup Company's test kitchen
Dish consisted of green beans, cream of mushroom soup and crunchy fried onions

Why she might be annoying:

She originally titled the casserole 'Green Bake Cake' but it was changed (thank god).
She told the Associated Press in a 2005 interview that she didn't even remember creating the recipe because her team had originated so many different concoctions. She also admitted that it did not do well with the company's early internal testing.
Other dishes she reportedly originated included a 'tomato soup cake' and a 'sloppy joe made out of tomato soup.'

Why she might not be annoying:

She earned a Bachelor's in Home Economics from the Drexel Institute of Technology (1947).
Green Bean Casserole remains a staple holiday side dish.
Campbell's Soup donated her original original recipe card to the National Inventors Hall of Fame (2002).
An estimated 40 percent of Campbell's cream of mushroom soup sold in the U.S. goes toward making green bean casserole, particularly around Thanksgiving.
She left Campbell's in 1961 to focus on being a full-time mom, but returned twenty years later to serve as the kitchen's manager (a position she held until her retirement).
