Why she might be annoying:

She shares a name with a former 'Britain's Next Top Model' contestant.
She gave us the schmaltzy 'Facts of Life' sitcom with its annoying-as-hell theme song.
She is more remembered for her time 'behind the scenes' as a creator than as an on-screen comedienne in her own right.
Like Susan Harris she became famous as the creator of a show she barely stayed with for the first season.
Case in point, she helped translate the popular 'Carol Burnett Show' sketch, 'The Family,' into an NBC series but had virtually no involvement with the show during its time in syndication, where it actually took off.
She took her mother’s maiden name as her professional name because she liked the way it fit with the diminutive of her first name.

Why she might not be annoying:

She studied under the legendary Stella Adler.
Her early acting credits included guest spots on 'Dennis the Menace' and 'The Twilight Zone.'
She relocated to West Hollywood after studying in New York, later opening a playhouse in West Hollywood.
She met Dick Clair while she was teaching acting, in 1961.
She wrote episodes for The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Bob Newhart Show, and Maude.
She co-wrote the final first-season episode of Diff'rent Strokes (which also served as the springboard for 'Facts of Life').
She received an Emmy nomination for her work on 'Soap' (1981).
She wrote and produced on, the Emmy-award winning special, 'Carol, Carl, Whoopi and Robin' (1987).
The character of Eunice in 'The Family' sketches, later spun off into 'Mama's Family,' was the result of her collaboration with Dick while working on 'The Carol Burnett Show.'
She was underrated as a comedian, in her own right, and was known for doing a funny routine involving a 'tap-dancing nun on a talent show.'
