Why he might be annoying:

At the height of the Cold War he was sleeping with a woman connected to Soviet agents.
His fling ended his distinguished political career virtually overnight.
He cheated on his wife, actress Valerie Hobson.
It is unclear whether he had a real relationship with Keeler or was paying for her services.
He initially lied to the House of Commons about his affair (sound familiar)?
‘The Profumo Affair' contributed to the collapse of the MacMillan Conservative government in 1964.

Why he might not be annoying:

In 1940, he was instrumental in voting out Neville Chamberlain in favor of Winston Churchill.
He ended his affair with Keeler as soon as he was warned by the Cabinet Secretary.
His wife stood by him throughout the entire scandal.
For the next forty years he kept a low profile and did volunteer work in a poor London neighborhood.
He was awarded a knighthood for his charitable work in 1975.
