The Resume

    (2015- )
    Born in Japan
    Kawaii metal/J-Pop idol group
Rie Kaneko (born December 18, 1997)
Ladybeard (aka Rick Magarey, born August 3, 1983, in Australia) (left the group August 2016)
Rei Kuromiya (born November 29, 2000) (left the group November 2017)
Emiri 'Emily' Arima (born circa 1997) (joined early 2018)
    Nana Ikeda (joined early 2018)
    Fuka Karasawa (joined early 2018)
Recorded the songs 'Nippon Manju', 'Renge Chance', 'Pelo', 'Pinky Pinky', 'Shibuya Crossing', 'Starless Sky (Hoshino Nai Sora)', 'Bite Me' and 'Dame Dame Tono'

Why they might be annoying:

Like Babymetal before them, their genre is 'kawaii metal' ('cute metal') which usually involves a group of young Japanese pop-idol girls singing along to heavy metal music.
Although branded as 'kawaii metal', they've also recorded songs that are straight bubblegum J-Pop.
What's up with every other kawaii-metal group having the word 'baby' in their name?
The (former) sole male of the group, Ladybeard, is a bearded, cross-dressing scream-singer/pro-wrestler.
The idea of a thirtysomething-year-old bearded man in drag being in a pop/rock group with teenage girls could be seen as sketchy outside of Japanese culture.
Former member Rei likes to curse like a sailor, and she's flipped off fans and cameras during onstage performances.
Both Rie and Rei were involved in underage gravure modeling prior to forming the group.
Ladybeard left the group in August 2016, citing contract disputes and creative differences with the group's producers and management.
After Ladybeard's departure, they briefly called themselves 'The Idols Formerly Known As Ladybaby' (Prince must have turned in his grave over this).
Rei would also leave the group in late 2017 - not only due to throat problems and stress, but also a bitter falling-out from her friendship with Rie - briefly leaving Rie as the group's only remaining member until its 2018 lineup revamp.
Without Ladybeard (and especially with their 2018 revamp), they might be seen as little more than a Babymetal clone or rival group.

Why they might not be annoying:

Like Babymetal, they are a novel and unique addition to the rock/metal genre.
Emily (the pink-haired scream-singer of the group's 'new' 2018 all-girl lineup) is a decent English speaker and a classically-trained pianist.
In 2018 Ladybeard announced a 'temporary' return to the group for a collaboration single called 'Biti-Biti Money'.
The new lineup is on good terms with Ladybeard's new kawaii-metal act Deadlift Lolita (with fellow wrestler/singer Reika Saiki), and both groups even played a concert together.
