He coined the term 'category error' to describe a very specific type of mistake made in philosophy, and then went on to say that everything that he disagreed with was a category error.
He probably would get beat up now for having the name 'Gilbert.'

He was one of the 20th century's greatest analytic philosophers.
He argued against Rene Descartes' mind-body distinction.
