Monarch
    (October 12, 1537-July 6, 1553)
    Birth name is Edward Tudor
    King of England & Ireland (January 28, 1547-July 6, 1553)
    Member of Tudor Dynasty
At birth, he was titled Duke of Cornwall, but never became Prince of Wales.
He was a very sickly child.
His father, Henry VIII, left a Council of Regency to rule in Edward's name until he was 18.
He died from either tuberculosis, arsenic poisoning, or syphilis (still debated).
His death was kept a secret so that Lady Jane Grey could assume the throne.
His successor was his half-sister Mary I (Bloody Mary!).
He was England's first Protestant King.
    He suffered from congenital syphilis.
At seven, he spoke Latin and by thirteen he spoke French and Greek.
