    He earned the Domino's 'Best Customer' award, which earned him free pizza for a month.
    He made an effort to learn English, after picking up small sentences and gradually learning the language to become fluent.
    He was diagnosed with leukemia midway the 2019 season, and making a comeback months after the initial diagnosis, pitching an inning in relief.
    He is involved in various charities that benefit underprivileged children in Venezuela, Cleveland and Tampa.
