Why she might be annoying:

    During her first visit to a puppy mill, she was so disturbed by the inhumane treatment of the dogs that she called the facility a 'house of horrors'.
    She publicly criticized Joe Biden's decision to adopt a puppy from a breeder, mainly due to the substandard conditions of of many breeding facilities.
    She publicly criticized Barack Obama for accepting a gift dog from a breeder that Ted Kennedy gave to Obama's family.
    She suggested that because President Obama did not adopt a dog from a shelter or rescue center as promised, the number of abusive puppy mills could ultimately increase.
    She chose to have her dog Baby with her during speaking engagements, but worried about the amount of people interested in petting it.

Why she might not be annoying:

    She was involved with various human rights organizations along with her dedication to animal welfare causes.
    The inhumane treatment she witnessed at her first puppy mill visit inspired her to educate the public about them, along with the options of shelter and rescue center animal adoption.
    She testified before Congress on research that linked industrialized violence towards animals and violence between humans.
    Her activism inspired the Congressional 'Baby's Bill', which would change breeding mill practices.
    Over 40 celebrities were featured in her book 'A Rare Breed of Love', including Barack Obama.
