Attorney

The Resume

    (June 20, 1952- )
    Born in Brooklyn, New York
    Middle name is Eliot
Key figure in the Nannygate scandal (1993)
Nominated by President Clinton to be the first woman to be U.S. Attorney General (later withdrawn)
President of the Markle Foundation (1998- )

Why she might be annoying:

She was an Amy Klobuchar lookalike.
She and her husband were revealed to have broken federal law by employing two people who had immigrated illegally from Peru as a nanny and chauffeur for their young child (and of not fully disclosing it during her vetting).
The revelation resulted in the FBI launching an inquiry into whether the couple had further violated federal law by withholding taxes for the employees. She later withdrew her name from consideration.
The matter became such a well-known fiasco that the question 'Do you have a Zoë Baird problem?' became a mutually understood question of future cabinet nominees for years to come.
A photo of herself and Joe Biden circulated on the internet falsely identifying her as sexual harassment accuser Tara Reade (incorrectly presented as corroborating evidence).

Why she might not be annoying:

She was the first-ever female nominee for Attorney General.
She earned a Doctorate in 1977 from the Boalt Hall School of Law at UC Berkeley.
She was Associate Counsel to President Carter during his final year in office.
She serves on the boards of numerous non-profits and charitable organizations.
Joe Biden hammered her so aggressively during her confirmation hearing that he drew widespread accusations of sexism from feminists (he almost single-handedly sank her chances).
Her consolation prize was to be appointed to President Clinton's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board the next year.
