Why she might be annoying:

Her books, and especially the TV show based on them, show forensic experts doing things that they would never do in real life like questioning subjects and surveying crime scenes.
She published an academic paper on arthritis in Rhesus monkeys.
Her books are often overly complex with multiple plots/storylines and she likes to end chapters with cliffhangers.
Bone's love life or lack thereof is usually a feature of her novels and is an annoying distraction.
She goes off subject and inserts irrelevant scenes in her books willy nilly.

Why she might not be annoying:

The plots, action, and settings of her books are often quite original, as are the characters.
She makes sure the science in her books and TV show are dead on. Pun intended.
She testified in the war crimes trials of the Rwandan Civil War criminals, ensuring that they would be punished.
Her life has been threatened at least once over her courtroom testimony.
Her debut novel, Deja Dead, won the 1997 Ellis Award for Best First Novel.
She has succeeded in a field dominated by men.
The 'Bones' character has been an inspiration for young women considering a career in science.
The TV show 'Bones' has been a hit in both first run and in syndication.
She's been married to the same man for over thirty years with whom she has three grown children.
