    Recorded 'It Never Rains in Southern California' and 'The Free Electric Band'
    He is a two hit wonder.
    His early bands were The Diamond Boys, Hammond & Hazelwood, Los Cincos Ricardos, Family Dogg and Pancho & Cisco.
    He left his wife and kids in England in 1970, moved to the U.S., sent for them in 1972, then got divorced.
    'The Free Electric Band' is a song from a musical he wrote and hoped to produce in L.A., but the producer took the money and split.
    His song 'I Don't Wanna Die in an Air Disaster' received some airplay in 1973 but was pulled after Jim Croce's plane wreck.
    Due to WW II, his mother fled Gibraltar prior to his birth, but returned before his first birthday.
    'It Never Rains in Southern California' was a #5 hit in the U.S. in 1972.
    He is bilingual and has recorded several records in Spanish.
    He co-wrote and helped produce 'Cantaré, Cantarás,' a Spanish equivalent to Band Aid/U.S.A for Africa, which topped the charts in several Latin countries.
    He wrote many songs made famous by other artists, such as 'The Air That I Breathe' by The Hollies, 'When I Need You' by Leo Sayer, 'To All The Girls I've Loved Before' by Willie Nelson and Julio Iglesias and 'Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now' by Starship.
    His son Albert, Jr. is a guitarist with The Strokes.
