Starred as Jan Stewart in the TV series ‘It’s Always Jan’ (1955-56)
Had recurring roles as Aunt Vivian in Eight Is Enough,’ Iona Huntington in <30824>General Hospital, and Minx Lockridge in <17436>Santa Barbara
Appeared on Broadway in ‘The Pajama Game’ (1954-55), ‘Here’s Love’ (1963-64), ‘Mame’ (1968-70), and 'Alone Together' (1984-85)

She began singing in local amateur shows at age five.

She claimed that Alfred S. Bloomingdale attempted to rape her when she was 22.
She was a regular fixture in Bob Hope’s USO shows.
She came close to losing her voice due to growths on her vocal cords, but treatment at the Vanderbilt voice clinic and training with a new vocal coach saved her voice.
