The Resume

    (February 10, 1898-December 22, 1966)
    Born in Fowler, Indiana
Birth name was Rolland Keith Richey
    1950s character actor
    Father of Brian Keith
Portrayed Dr. Richard Kimble's father in The Fugitive and patriarch Jason Foster in the Twilight Zone episode ‘The Masks’ (his final role)
Appeared in the films ‘Fourteen Hours,’ ‘The Wild One,’ Love Me or Leave Me,’ ‘Guys and Dolls (1955),’ ‘My Man Godfrey,’ and ‘Cimarron’

Why he might be annoying:

He was not named for his father but for his father’s brother.
His first and third marriages lasted roughly two years each.
The accounts of when he met and married Peg Entwistle were greatly varied — though not how they dressed (both in black, and with a prop ring!).
He was relatively wiry at five foot eight, a stark comparison to his heavyset son.

Why he might not be annoying:

In his teenage years, he worked at a stock company.
No matter the degree of competence or will in the character, or his line of work, he usually had that role covered.
He had also honed his writing chops during his career.
Only two children – each by a different wife – came out of a total of four marriages.
