She unsuccessfully auditioned to play Scarlet O’Hara in ‘Gone with the Wind.’
Because she missed being named for one of WAMPAS ‘baby stars,’ eleven WAMPAS member resigned from the association.
She married the attorney of censor Will Hayes.

Why she might not be annoying:

She was a voice-over regular on ‘Gangbusters’ (the original ‘America’s Most Wanted’) which resulted in the arrests of a number of criminals.
She was friends with her husband's first wife and sent her sympathy after she was killed falling off a horse.
