Why she might be annoying:

She was born in a state that wasn’t exactly a country music hotbed at the time.
Of the seven significant awards she achieved between 1980 and 1983, only one was achieved independently of Frizzell.
Since her mother was among the established performers heavily impacted by huge industry changes – and she herself hadn’t charted for about five years – she retired shortly after that fatal car crash.

Why she might not be annoying:

Though not spelled quite the same way, she was named for her mother’s favorite actress.
She began at age 17 as a backup vocalist in her mother’s show.
Not only was ‘Jose Cuervo’ a #1 single, it helped spike sales for its namesake tequila.
She managed to get more than 20 singles into the Billboard Country Music charts.
