The Resume

    (April 29, 1935-October 26, 2022)
    Born in Boston, Massachusetts
    Birth name was Lucianne Steinberg
    Literary agent
Clients included Kitty Kelley and Mark Fuhrman
Frequent guest on Matt Drudge’s ‘Drudge Report’ TV show

Why she might be annoying:

She got a job as a reporter for Women’s News Service, a subsidiary of United Features Syndicate, where her husband happened to be an executive editor.
The Nixon re-election campaign paid her $1,000 a week to spy on Democratic candidate George McGovern while part of the press corps covering him (1972).
She founded the anti-women’s lib group the Pussycat League and campaigned against the Equal Rights Amendment by falsely telling women that they would lose the right to child support if the amendment passed.
She promoted conspiracy theory books about the death of Vince Foster.
She encouraged Linda Tripp to tape record her conversations with Monica Lewinsky, then brought the tapes to the attention of Paula Jones’ lawyers, setting in motion the first impeachment of a President for lying about a blow job.
She was horribly offended by the President’s sex life despite writing trashy novels like ‘People Will Talk,’ featuring a woman who unzips men’s flies with her toes, and ‘Friends in High Places,’ about a ‘star feature writer who will take almost any man to bed for her next day's lead.’

Why she might not be annoying:

Accused of being part of a ‘vast right-wing conspiracy,’ she deadpanned ‘Oh yes, there is a right-wing cabal out there, and they all meet secretly here in my office.’
Michael Moore aimed a webcam at her New York City apartment.
She said about attacks on her character during the Lewinsky scandal, ‘I have never thought of myself as a victim in all this. Let them take their best shot.’
