She was one of 8 siblings.
She pursued an aviation career despite her mom's protests.
Her husband, decorated pilot 'Clifford' Louie Yen-Chung, was 2 years her junior.
She used lipstick to write in Chinese characters 'Fat Ass' on the tail of the plane of a stout pilot.

Why she might not be annoying:

She became the first Chinese-American woman to fly for the U.S. military.
As a WASP she transported pursuit aircraft out of factories.
Her brother Vic, serving in France, was killed just 3 days after her death.
The family fought and eventually won the right for the siblings to be buried side by side in the 'white section' of a Portland cemetary.
