    They cheered for Charles Barkley, Kevin Johnson and 'Thunder' Dan Majerle during the 1990's.
    Their team was the first pro sports franchise awarded to the city of Phoenix.
    Their mascot, the Suns' Gorilla, was the first team mascot in NBA history.
