Sports Executive
    (October 5, 1954- )
    Born in Miami, Florida
Majority owner of the Florida Panthers (2001-09)
Pharmaceutical salesman and founder of various pharmaceutical companies in and around Florida
He was considered one of the worst owners in professional hockey, bad enough to make Harold Ballard look good.
He hated the Panthers predominantly red uniform, opting to use the navy alternate as the primary home uniform.
He hired and fired six general managers and six head coaches under his regime.
Under his ownership, the team made no playoff appearances and essentially became the NHL's version of the Los Angeles Clippers.
His micromanagement of the team led to many players requesting trades or leaving the team through free agency when their contracts expired.
He made most of his wealth through the pharmaceutical industry.
He formed a consortium ownership group, which purchased the club from original owner Wayne Huizenga.
He successfully lobbied former NFL star Bernie Kosar to join the group, despite the fact Kosar knew little about hockey.
He was described as a hard working, driven, goal oriented man by former co-workers.
He was instrumental in convincing the NHL to bring the All-Star Weekend to Sunrise (2003).
