Forward for the Montreal Canadiens (1988-92), Edmonton Oilers (1992-93), Minnesota North Stars/Dallas Stars (1993-97, 2002), Detroit Red Wings (1997-2002) and the Nashville Predators (2002-03)

Why he might be annoying:

He was plagued by nagging back and groin injuries.
He was primarily placed on the checking lines at the NHL level.
Despite being a serviceable defensive forward, he was never considered a Selke Trophy candidate.
He was frequently a healthy scratch during the tail-end of his career.

Despite not producing the offensive numbers he did in the Western Hockey League, he embraced his role as a defensive forward.
Despite being plagued by injuries, he was able to tough it out and play injured to an extent.
He won a Stanley Cup with the Red Wings (1998).
He played in the Canadiens alumni team at both Heritage Classic games (2003, 2011).
