    He originally planned for 'Glee' to be a film.
    He engaged in a war of words with rock band Kings Of Leon after the band wouldn't allow their music to be used on 'Glee' (January 2011).

    Steven Spielberg discovered him when he bought the rights to Murphy's script called 'Why Can't I Be Audrey Hepburn?'
