Four time NBA All-Star (1977-79,1983)
Nicknamed 'the Enforcer'

Why he might be annoying:

He complained that Al McGuire's half-court offenses at Marquette University made him feel like a robot. (Assistant coach Hank Raymonds consoled him with, 'Maurice, someday you're going to be a million-dollar robot.')
He would always bring vitamins, tuna, peanuts and fruit along on road trips.
He was ejected from Game 2 of the 1977 NBA Finals for elbowing Darryl Dawkins in the back of the head.
After a game in which Kevin Garnett trash-talked the Trail Blazers, he noted that rarely happened in his day because 'Back then it was only a $50 fine for punching someone in the mouth.'

Why he might not be annoying:

He led the Trail Blazers in scoring, minutes played and offensive rebounds during their 1976-77 championship season.
Teammate and future Grizzlies coach Lionel Hollins said, 'Off the court, he was a sweet human being. Everybody loved him. He was very approachable and he was a very loyal friend.'
Bill Walton named his son Luke in his honor.
After his death from bladder cancer, the Trail Blazers dedicated the rest of the 2010-11 season to him.
