    (December 13, 1934-July 13, 2012)
    Born in Los Angeles, California
Son of Hollywood mogul Darryl F. Zanuck
Produced or co-produced the films 'Compulsion' (1959), 'The Sugarland Express' (1974), 'Jaws' (1975), 'The Eiger Sanction' (1975), 'Jaws 2' (1978), 'Neighbors' (1981), 'The Verdict' (1982), 'Cocoon' (1985), 'Driving Miss Daisy' (1989), 'Rush' (1991), 'Mulholland Falls' (1996), 'Deep Impact' (1998), 'Planet of the Apes' (2001), 'Road to Perdition' (2002), 'Big Fish' (2003), 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' (2005), 'Sweeney Todd' (2007), 'Alice in Wonderland' (2010) and 'Dark Shadows' (2012)
    Co-produced the 72nd Academy Awards ceremony (2000)
Growing up, his ballgames were attended by studio execs bussed in by his dad to cheer him on.
His dad hired him as head of production for 20th Century Fox (1963).
After he greenlit a series of big-budget bombs, such as 'Dr. Doolittle' (1967), 'Star!' (1968) and 'Hello, Dolly!' (1969), he was fired by his dad.
    He divorced actress Linda Harrison.
He married two different women named Lili.
He said the main lesson he picked up working for his father was, 'We learned that a movie depended on four words: story, story, story and story.'
Although he got his big break from his father, he had a lot of success on his own.
He and Darryl were the first father and son to produce winners of the Academy Award for Best Picture.
Stephen Spielberg described him as 'a director's producer. He always feels his job is to protect the director.'
