    Appeared on the third series of 'Britain's Got Talent'
    Acquired instant fame for her rendition of 'I Dreamed a Dream' from Les Miserables
    Second place finisher in the season finale
    Occupation listed as 'Unemployed' at the time of her audition
    Appeared on 'Oprah,' 'Good Morning America' and 'Larry King Live' and featured in 'People' magazine

Why she might be annoying:

    She named her cat Pebbles.
    Press claims that she is a spinster who has 'never been kissed.
    She was also dubbed as 'The Woman Who Shut Up Simon Cowell.'
    Before appearing in ''Britain's Got Talent,' her primary singing experience was with the church choir and karaoke.
    She eventually lost the competition to a dance group named Diversity.
    During the late stages of the competition, she rehearsed into the very early morning hours disturbing fellow hotel guests.
    She vowed to never get a makeover yet, over the weeks, she had her hair styled, brows groomed and started to wear makeup.
    Within hours of her second place finish on 'Britain's Got Talent' she was admitted to a Priory, a mental health clinic

Why she might not be annoying:

    The YouTube video of her audition received over 100 million hits in only nine days.
    At her audition, she quickly changed the judges' and audience members' first impression of her with her singing voice, then she received a standing ovation.
    She was bullied as a child and was labeled 'Simple Sue.'
    She comes from a very large family with four sons and six daughters.
    Fans and press would crowd in front of her Scotland town home seeking autographs and a chance to chat or take pictures with her.
    She received a great deal of press world wide thanks to that audition.
    She is a late bloomer.
    She is the daughter of Ireland natives who later moved to Scotland.
    Although she did not win 'Britain's Got Talent' she is far more memorable than the dance troupe she lost to.
