Why The Rosie O'Donnell Show might be annoying
The house band was named 'The McDLTs.'
Her most frequent guests included Tom Cruise and George Clooney.
In later years, she used the show to deliver her political views to the audience.
She got into a feud with Tom Selleck over gun-control issues in the wake of the Columbine massacre.
She helped make those inane 'Tickle Me Elmo' dolls famous.
Despite having a successful run, she ended her show in 2002 citing her desire to spend time with her kids (even though she came back in 2006 as a co-host for 'The View' for one season).
Why The Rosie O'Donnell Show might not be annoying
Upon the premiere of her show, 'Newsweek' magazine touted her as the 'Queen of Nice.'
She helped to make Broadway theater popular the same way Oprah Winfrey did to certain books.
Usually in the spring toward the end of each season, she taped her talk show at an amusement park such as Disney World or Universal Orlando.
At the beginning of each show, an audience member would introduce the show's featured guests (similar to how 'The View' did in the middle of the program).
The show won numerous Daytime Emmys during its six-year run.
