In Malaysia's official language, Kuala Lumpur means 'muddy confluence.'
During World War II, Kuala Lumpur was captured by the Japanese forces (January 11, 1942).
Traffic jams are uncontrolled and it is extremely noisy and crowded.
Some say prostitutes will always be there waiting for customers at the back streets.

Why Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia might not be annoying:

It is home to the one time world's largest building, The Petronas Twin Tower.
It is the location of Times Square, the biggest shopping mall in Malaysia.
The hotels are exquisite and inexpensive (5 star hotels have rooms going for US$40-100).
American restaurants like McDonald and KFC serves the same meal, except they're halal.
It has modern buildings.
Transportation has been easier since LRT was built.
