    Recorded the singles 'You, Me and Mexico' (1970), 'Last Song' (1972), and 'Close Your Eyes' (1972)

Why they might be annoying:

    Their name was inspired by A.A. Milne's Winnie the Pooh stories.
    They were one-hit wonders in the US, with 'Last Song' their only Top 40 hit.'
    They lost a chance at a second hit when Terry Jacks offered 'Seasons in the Sun' to them and they turned it down.
    The band recorded the music for a commercial promoting Scientology after Evoy embraced the movement's teachings.

Why they might not be annoying:

    They started out as a blues-rock band and opened shows for Led Zeppelin.
    'Last Song' was an international hit, topping the chart in Canada and making the top five in the US, Australia, and New Zealand.
    They won a 1973 Juno Award for 'Outstanding Group Performance.' (Although the 'Best Group' Juno went to Lighthouse.)
