    Dean of School of Architecture at Yale University (1977-1984)
    Established own firm Pelli Clarke Pelli (1977)
    Designed Brookfield Place (1982-1987), Wells Fargo Center (1988), One Canada Square (1991), Bank of America Corporate Center (1992), Petronas Towers (1996), Cira Center (2005), BOK Center (August 30, 2008), and Connecticut Science Center (2009)
    Received AIA Gold Medal (1995), Aga Khan Award for Architecture (2004), Lynn S. Beedle Lifetime Achievement Award (2008), and Diamond Konex Award for Visual Arts (2012)
    Wrote 'Observations for Young Architects' (1999) and 'Petronas Twin Towers: The Architecture of High Construction' (2005)

Why he might be annoying:

    It's hard to determine his architectural style, though it has been erroneously perceived as modern.
    One Canada Square is often erroneously referred to as Canary Wharf, where it is located at.
    There are a few rumors that he's a Freemason because some of the buildings he designed contain shapes associated with Freemasonry.

Why he might not be annoying:

    His works have been lauded for their diversity, sensitivity to site, and innovative solutions to architectural problems.
    The Petronas Towers effectively put Kuala Lumpur on the map for being the tallest buildings for eight years. (1996-2004)
    He believed that the aesthetic design of a building must match with its function and the circumstances surrounding its location.
