She wrote 'How Stella Got Her Groove Back' about her vacation to Jamaica and falling for a man half her age.
She had a son out of wedlock.
Her husband is 20 years younger then her.
She sold all her book rights to become movies.
She was a drug user.
She married a closet homosexual, which she didn't find out about until six years later.
It is suspected that her husband, Jonathan Plummer only married her to obtain his U.S. citizenship.
She admits she feels very humiliated because of the fact he basically used her, when she based her book on their relationship which was one made of mutual feelings.

Why he might not be annoying:

She is a successful author.
She is an inspiration to middle age women trolling for younger men.
Her book translated into a successful movie.
