    Head coach for South Dakota State (1972-81), Saskatchewan Roughriders (1987-91), Hamilton Tiger-Cats (1991-94), Iowa Barnstormers (1995-2000, 2008-11), New York Dragons (2001-03), Carolina Cobras (2004) and the Arkansas Twisters (2005-07)
    General manager for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (1993-94), Iowa Barnstormers (1995-2000) and the New York Dragons (2001-03)

Why he might be annoying:

    His tenure with the Roughriders was plagued with mediocrity.
    He accepted the Tiger-Cats coaching job a week after was fired by the Riders during the 1991 season.
    Despite stating his intentions to retire after the 2004 season, he came out of retirement weeks later to coach in Arkansas.
    He never played a game in the professional ranks.
    He looked too chunky to be a football coach

Why he might not be annoying:

    He personally recruited John Matuszak to play for him at Iowa Central Community College.
    He coached Kurt Warner in the Arena Football League, prior to the latter's NFL breakthrough.
    He guided the Roughriders to the franchise's first winning season and playoff berth in over a decade (1987).
    He guided the Roughriders to the franchise's second Grey Cup championship, ending a 23 year drought (1989).
    He earned the Annis Stukus Trophy as the CFL's Coach of the Year in his Grey Cup winning season.
