Producer

The Resume

    Resides in Los Angeles, California
Executive producer of 'Van Wilder 2' (2006) and 'Seberg' (2019)
Produced the TV series 'Sunnyside' on NBC
Contestant on Survivor 39: Island of the Idols
Initially part of the Vokai Tribe
Ejected from the game (Day 36)

Why he might be annoying:

He resembles James Gandolfini, only thinner.
While his 'Survivor' season aired, his TV show ‘Sunnyside’ was cancelled four episodes into its run.
Where was his wife at the Loved Ones' challenge?
He kept making physical contact with Kellee even after she asked him to stop.
His alleged inappropriate touching seemed to be completely forgotten about after Kellee's castoff.
He was ejected for allegedly touching a female 'Survivor' producer's leg off-camera.
Despite exiting in sixth place, he was denied a spot on the jury as a result of his ejection.
Whereas Aaron, Elizabeth, Missy, and Lauren issued social media apologies for their behavior towards Kellee, Dan didn't.

Why he might not be annoying:

As a TV/movie producer and talent manager, he works in an industry which he acknowledges is where the #MeToo movement originated.
He has managed such actors as Jared Padalecki, Kal Penn, Joey King, and Rachael Leigh Cook.
His 13-year-old son ended up visiting him at the Loved Ones' challenge.
There was nothing illegal, immoral, or sexual in nature about any of his contact with Kellee.
His contact with the female producer may have been accidental (he said that he had lost his balance getting onto a boat and inadvertently made contact with her as a result).
He personally addressed Kellee and the others at Tribal Council regarding his actions ('If anyone ever felt, for a second, uncomfortable about anything I've ever done, I'm horrified about that, and I'm terribly sorry').
His ejection from the game happened during Elaine's boot episode.
