    Pitcher for the Texas Rangers (1993-98, 2000-01, 2010-11), St. Louis Cardinals (1998-99), Boston Red Sox (2002), Colorado Rockies (2003), Florida Marlins (2004), Houston Astros (2004), New York Mets (2006), Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (2007-09) and the Toronto Blue Jays (2012–2013)
    Son of former major league infielder Bob Oliver

    He was a journeyman player.
    He played three separate stints with the Texas Rangers.
    He bounced back and forth between the starting rotation and the bullpen during his career.
    He sat out the entire 2005 season, after he failed to catch on with the Rockies.
