Why Happy Days might be annoying:

It wasn’t considered for a series until the movie ‘American Graffiti’ came out.
No explanation was given on the disappearance of the oldest Cunningham, Chuck.
Fonzie didn’t wear his trademark leather jacket the first season because ABC feared his character would be perceived as a hoodlum.
Marshall and Howard threatened to leave the show when ABC wanted to change the name of the show to ‘Fonzie’s Happy Days.’
It gave us the term ‘jumping the shark’. It spawned off from an episode where Fonzie literally jumped over a shark using water skis. Many fans cite that as the moment the show was going downhill.
Other fans feel it ‘jumped the shark’ after Richie and Ralph left the show.
Winkler was 38 years old when the show ended.
It spun off the disastrous ‘Joanie Loves Chachi.’
One of Robin Williams’ first television appearances was as ‘Mork’ on this show.
Quatro tried to use ‘Happy Days’ as a way to increase her pop music exposure in America. It didn’t work.

Why Happy Days might not be annoying:

It made ‘The Fonz’ a 1970’s icon.
It inspired other nostalgic sitcoms such as ‘The Wonder Years’ and ‘That 70s Show.’
Weezer’s famous ‘Buddy Holly’ music video incorporated many clips from ‘Happy Days.’
It helped bridge Ron Howard’s transition from child star to acclaimed film director.
Though Bill Haley’s ‘Rock Around the Clock’ was its original theme song, its replacement theme became a classic in itself.
It was one of the first shows to have earlier episodes syndicated while the series was still producing new episodes.
It spun off ‘Laverne and Shirley’ and ‘Mork and Mindy.’
Howard Cunningham was ranked #9 in TV Guide's list of the ‘50 Greatest TV Dads of All Time’ (2004).
