The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

He went by the nickname 'Devo.'
He didn't take up baseball until his later years of high school.

He went from being an every day player to a platoon player in the final few seasons of his career.
His surname was misspelled 'White' as an immigration officer made a clerical error, and he didn't bother to legally change it to the proper spelling until 2003.

Why he might not be annoying:

He excelled at making big plays during his prime years.
He won five consecutive Gold Gloves between 1991 and 1995.
