The Resume

    (July 25, 1915-August 12, 1944)
    Born in Connecticut
Eldest son of Joseph P. Kennedy and Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy
Graduated Choate Rosemary Hall in 1933
    Graduated Harvard (1938)
    Democratic National Convention delegate (1940)
    United States Naval Aviator
Killed during Operation Aphrodite in World War II (1944)

Why he might be annoying:

    He smoked cigars.
He had the worst temper of the Kennedy siblings.
He once threw his brother Ted off a sailboat because Ted didn't pull in the jib sail when Joe told him to.
Ted was 5-6 years old at the time.
He was very arrogant and competitive, and he had a reputation as a sore loser.
He was a bully as a child, especially towards his brother Jack.
At Harvard, he would steal dates from other men, including Jack.
He and his brothers were all expected to be president, and he ended up the most obscure and forgotten of the brothers.

Why he might not be annoying:

He spent a good chunk of his life at boarding school, and when he was home his parents were often absent.
His father made no attempt to instill any morals in him beyond respecting his mother and winning at all costs.
He was expected to bear the Kennedy family's political hopes, and his upbringing was focused solely on preparing him to be president someday.
By all accounts, he did well in school, was very athletic and was quite popular.
Joe's bullying caught up with him; he was enrolled at the Dexter School as the only Catholic there besides his brother. He ended up getting bullied himself.
He had finished his military obligation and had the option of going home, but he volunteered for the mission that killed him.
Years after Joe's death, Jack said of him that he had his defects, but 'these defects—if defects they were—were becoming smoothed with the passage of time.'
